After the Presidential Primary, Atiku meets with Wike.
On Monday, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike in Abuja.

On Saturday, Atiku overcame Wike and other presidential contenders in the party to win the party's presidential ticket.

At the PDP presidential primary held at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday, Atiku garnered 371 votes to defeat Wike, who received 237 votes.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki received 70 votes, followed by Governors Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State (38 votes), Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State (20 votes), Anyim Pius Anyim, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (14 votes), and Sam Ohuabunwa, former President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (one vote).

The purpose of the meeting, according to INFOGONG, was to heal bridges between the two leaders before of the presidential race in 2023.

Despite the lack of facts about the meeting, it was learned that Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, as well as other PDP leaders, were present.
