A month after an explosion killed several people inside a beer parlour in Kabba, the capital of Kogi state's Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, a similar occurrence occurred in the town.

On Sunday night, a venue called Obafemi bar in Kabba's Oke padi axis was targeted, according to INFOGONG.

The reason of the incident and the type of the explosion are yet unknown, however the occurrence was confirmed by the Kogi state police command's Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya, who added that no casualties had been reported.

According to Aya, the state's Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka, dispatched the command's anti-bomb squad to the scene to establish the cause of the event.

Two persons were killed when an explosion shook a beer parlour near Lewu Junction, still in Kabba, on May 11.
