Over 100 commercial motorcyclists, often known as Okada riders, stormed the Same Global Estate in Abuja's Lokogoma neighbourhood on May 29 to avenge the deaths of two colleagues.

According to eyewitnesses, the motorcyclists went on a rampage after two of their comrades were allegedly killed on the scene after being knocked down by another rider in the neighbourhood. After a mob threatened to beat him to death, the rider is claimed to have escaped into the estate for safety.

The enraged bikers invaded the estate and then set fire to the guard station.
Normalcy has been restored to the area, according to DSP Josephine Adeh of the FCT police command, who confirmed the occurrence.
