Some Muslim youths in Sokoto State demonstrated this morning, May 14, to demand the release of the two suspects apprehended by police in connection with Deborah Samuel's murder.

Deborah, a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education, was slain on May 12 after she was accused of insulting Prophet Mohammed.

The protesting adolescents were spotted waving placards and yelling "Allahu Akbar," which translates to "God is Great."

The demonstration began at the Zabira mall roundabout and continued across the state metropolis' Gao-nama northward flyover.
