Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that he will not retire from politics until he becomes President of Nigeria.

Tinubu made the remark on Tuesday while canvassing for the party's delegates' votes in Makurdi, Benue State's capital.

"Benue youth, be determined to have your PVCs revalidated." "I'm with you, and my colleagues here are with you, as are many others who are not here, to ensure your posterity and the hope of a united prosperous Nigeria."

"So, we're of age, and if you want us to retire soon, I'll retire when I become President of Nigeria," he said.

He went on to say that if elected president, his administration would rekindle ordinary Nigerians' hope.

Tinubu also stated that if the APC gives him the ticket, there will be no contest between him and the candidate of the opposition PDP.

Tinubu emphasised that he would bring his experience as Governor of Lagos State to bear on Nigeria's leadership style.
