An Adamawa man kills a friend for requesting a loan of N1,500.

Aliyu Hammanseyo, a middle-aged resident of Adamawa State's Mubi North Local Government Area, has been remanded in custody after reportedly killing his companion with a knife over N1,500.

Hammanseyo, who was charged in Yola's Chief Magistrate's Court, was remanded in custody for the alleged crime.

According to the charge sheet read by the police prosecutor, ASP Francis Audu, before Magistrate Muhammed Abubakar, Hammanseyo fatally stabbed Bilham Babangida on June 7, 2022, using a knife.

Additionally, he claimed that under questioning, the defendant acknowledged to stabbing Babangida in the chest.

The defendant owed Babangida N1,500, as stated in the charge sheet.

When the deceased tried to get the money back from his friend, he allegedly came under attack.

To keep Hammanseyo in custody, the prosecutor begged the judge.

The case was postponed to July 14, 2022, and the defendant was ordered to be remanded, according to Chief Magistrate Muhammed Abubakar.
