On Sunday, bandits attacked the Maranatha Baptist Church and St. Moses Catholic Church in Rubu Village, Kajuru, murdering three people.

Peter Madaki (Ward head of Ungwan Fada), Elisha Ezekiel (Resident of Ungwan Fada), and Ali Zamani were the casualties (Youth leader of Rubu).

Two people were hurt in the attacks, according to INFOGONG: one Aniro Mai, a woman who has yet to be recognised, and an indeterminate number of locals.

"Shortly after the church service ended, the bandits arrived on motorcycles and attacked our people. Inside Rubu village, two communities were attacked. "The ward leader of Anguwar Fada was among those killed," said a resident who only gave his first name, Maigari.

Other devotees, he claimed, fled via the neighbouring bush.

Samuel Aruwan, the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Homes Affairs, confirmed the incident, saying the assailants began at Ungwan Fada and progressed through Ungwan Turawa, Ungwan Makama, and finally Rubu village.

The robbers plundered shops and hauled away some goods from the villages, he explained.

"On a sad note, security services have reported that bandits attacked worshippers and locals at Ungwan Fada, Ungwan Tarawa, and Ungwan Makama in Rubu general region of Kajuru local government area," Aruwan stated.

Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, the Acting Governor, expressed her deep regret and vehement condemnation of the attack upon receiving the information. She expressed her heartfelt condolences to the relatives of the slain victims and prayed for their souls' peace."

Security patrols are being performed in the general region, according to Aruwan, while investigations continue.
