Muhammed Bello, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, revealed this on Thursday, June 3, while speaking at the Presidential Communication Team's weekly ministerial briefing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. He also revealed that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has started generating over N200 billion annually through its aggressive internally generated revenue (IGR) drive.
He stated that the FCT, which is now ranked second in terms of IGR push, aspires to surpass Lagos as the country's greatest revenue-generating state.
While N1 billion (N500 million each) has been made aside to rebuild the National Mosque and National Christian Centre, the administration will also renovate the Federal Secretariat and National Assembly. The seating arrangements of the national assembly's two chambers would be altered.
