Mrs Queen Okojie claimed in a petition signed by her lawyer S.A. Ikpea that Inspector Aidomoh of Mopol 60 Iyamho threatened to fire her under the guise of a "accidental discharge" due to irreconcilable differences between her and one Netty Abu, said to be the Inspector's lady friend.
"Our client has informed us that one Inspector Monday Aidomoh of Mopol 60, Iyamoh, has a lady friend named Netty Abu who owns a store near our client's home."
Setraco/Hartland Estate is affiliated with Aidomoh. When he travels to and from the Estate, which is located at the further end of the road, he passes by our client's home and store. Because of repeated quarrels between them, always caused by Netty Abu, the connection between Netty Abu and our customer has been severely damaged.
In brief, Netty Abu has had cause to apologise to our client in the press on one occasion and rung bells around Auchi town on another occasion in an attempt to satisfy our client.
In order to gratify his lover, Insp Monday Aidomoh has chosen Netty Abu's side and is attempting to avenge or fight for her against our client. As a result, Inspector Monday Aidomoh publicly boasted to our client that he would kill her under the cover of an accidental discharge and that nothing would happen after that.
He has openly dubbed our client "Ashawo" (Harlot) in public on several occasions," the petition claimed in part.
Mrs Queen Okojie pleaded with the Commissioner of Police to intervene on her behalf, claiming that the Inspector was not above the law.
Meanwhile, Edo Police Command spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, confirmed receipt of the plea and promised that justice will be delivered.
He explained that, while the accused Inspector had yet to respond to the command's invitations, the command had made procedures to deploy its backup tool for dealing with such individuals.
