The 11 prisoners of the Abuja-Kaduna train, who were released on Saturday, have been transferred to the country's capital.

According to a source, the injured are being treated at a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Tukur Mamu, the Publisher of Desert Herald, assisted the release of the victims who had been held captive for more than 70 days, according to INFOGONG.

The 11 victims were reportedly liberated after their abductors' eight children were returned to them on Saturday.

According to a source, instead of releasing all female detainees as previously agreed, the terrorists freed six weak ladies and five guys with poor health conditions.

According to the source, the released victims would be reunited with family members in the FCT on Sunday.
