Two locally-made pistols with three live cartridges were recovered from one Obinna Owoh, along Abakaliki Road, according to the command's spokesperson, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, in a statement on Wednesday, June 1.

Another suspect was apprehended in the Nsukka area of the Command for alleged illegal possession of a Beretta pistol with one live bullet in a separate operation."
Similarly, on May 28, 2022, at approximately 5.30 p.m., Police Operatives serving in the Nsukka Sector of the Command's Crack Squad apprehended one Benedict Nwodo, 29, of Ugwuechara in Nsukka, after responding quickly to a distress call reporting that he was spotted with a pistol along CSO Site in Nsukka. He was found carrying one (1) live round of.9mm calibre ammo and an English-made Berretta pistol "According to the statement,He stated that after the investigations are completed, all of the suspects will be arraigned in court.
