Abdulrazaq was responding to a revelation in the Daily Trust that his name was missing from a list of northern governors who signed a press statement on the matter.
The Governor, who has been swamped with questions since the report was released, explained that he was a part of the northern leader's resolution on power transfer to the south from the start.
He went on to say that he couldn't sign the meeting's resolution right away because he was the Chief Host at his niece's wedding on Saturday.
"Northern colleagues of Governor AbdulRazaq were unable to wait for his physical signature on the resolution since they needed to deliver it to the President right away."
"However, the final copy of the resolution was provided to him later, and he became the 12th signatory to the resolution backing the southern presidency in 2023," said the Governor, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Political Communication, Bashir Adigun.
