In a message signed by the vice president, he also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC leaders on a successful extraordinary convention and presidential primary.
He claimed that the party's flagbearer had demonstrated passion, patriotism, courage, and commitment in the pursuit of nation-building for decades, and that his "stellar contributions to our democracy and its advancement stand him out."
Osinbajo went on to say that his vast expertise would be crucial in the party's ongoing efforts to make Nigeria more secure and affluent.
"I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his success in our party's primaries and election as the Presidential Candidate and Flagbearer of our great party, the APC, for the upcoming Presidential Elections in 2023.
"To all members of our great party, regardless of who you voted for in the primaries, we must now rally around our Presidential Candidate and Flagbearer in order to assure our party's success in the 2023 elections."
"As true progressives, we must remain strong and unified in pursuing our collective vision as a party toward establishing a country that can provide a good life and livelihood for all of our people," he added.
