Bandits killed roughly 32 people in Kaduna State in separate attacks on four communities in the Kajuru Local Government Area.

The gunmen targeted Ungwan Gamu, Dogon Noma, Ungwan Sarki, and Maikori in Southern Kaduna, journalists were told on Thursday.

According to Titus Dauda, the District Head of Kufena, gunmen assaulted the settlements on Sunday, murdering 32 people.

The hoodlums, he claimed, set fire to a church and a number of homes.

"The bandits first assaulted Dogon Noma in the early hours of Sunday, killing many people, largely men, before moving on to Ungwan Gamu and Maikori villages, killing people and burning down houses," he claims.

"The victims have been laid to rest, and the residents of the afflicted areas have fled for fear of being attacked."

Some residents stated they saw a helicopter shooting at the civilians from the air, while the remaining bandits attacked any fleeing residents on the ground. A security agent was able to stop it.

Under the condition of anonymity, he said the military battled the bandits on the ground and in the air, forcing them to flee.

The cops had not yet responded to the incident.
