Senator Shettima believes that nice men like Osinbajo should be selling ice cream.

Senator Kassim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, has stated that despite the fine personality of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, he is unqualified to win the 2023 presidential election.

Friday evening, Shettima, who represents Borno Central Senatorial District, spoke on a Channels Television programme.

According to him, the vice president, who is one of the presidential candidates on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, cannot defeat Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The legislator asserted that only Bola Tinubu, the National head of the ruling party, is capable of winning the 2023 election.

He stated, "No one has ever questioned Professor Osinbajo's competency, but we feel that Bola Tinubu has the intellectual capacity and electoral viability to win the election.

"We need someone who can match or perhaps surpass Atiku Abubakar, the PDP nominee. Osinbajo is a good and kind man, but nice men do not make good leaders; nice men should sell ice cream."
