Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attack Borno and kidnap a number of people.

Boko Haram suspected insurgents stormed Lawan Mainari hamlet near Mainok on the Damaturu-Maiduguri Road in Borno State on Monday.

The tragedy occurred in a hamlet fewer than 40 kilometres from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, according to an eyewitness.

The attackers are claimed to have kidnapped a number of passengers while setting fire to nine vehicles and trucks transporting food.

Despite the fact that the authorities have yet to comment on the occurrence, many motorists on the road were forced to wait in surrounding villages or return to Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State.
