The kidnapped Kwara Anglican Bishop, together with his wife and driver, has been released.

Rt. Rev Oluwaseun Aderogba, the Anglican Bishop of Jebba Diocese in Kwara State, his wife, and driver, who were kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday night, June 12, have been released.

The Bishop of Omu-Aran Diocese, Rt. Rev. Festus Sobanke, broke the news to Anglican Television, ACNNTV, and it was confirmed by the General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Venerable Paul Dajur.

The Oyo State Police Command confirmed this in a statement issued by Adewale Osifeso, the Police Public Relations Officer for Oyo State, on Tuesday night, June 14.

According to the statement, all three were released unharmed around 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

After their vehicle broke down on Sunday on the Ogbomoso-Oyo Expressway in Oyo State, the couple and their driver were kidnapped.
