Why APC and Tinubu must choose Ganduje as their running mate —Aide

Shehu Isa, a Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Media, has explained why the All Progressive Congress and its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu, should choose Ganduje as their running mate for the 2023 presidential election, amidst ongoing consultations over who will be Tinubu's running mate.

Isa, who was quick to clarify that the Muslim-Muslim ticket was unconstitutional, stated that Ganduje was the greatest candidate to run alongside Tinubu, the party's presidential candidate.

The Media aide disclosed this information to journalists in Kano over the weekend.

Ganduje is arguably the only viable candidate for the APC, according to Isa, based on his qualifications and track record in civil service, politics, and his character.

Ganduje openly supported Tinubu's candidacy in the entire north despite the opposition of many others and the reluctance of northern stakeholders to endorse him publicly.

"Despite being Fulani by birth, he lacks tribalism; he handed his daughter to the Yoruba. Even Tinubu would be glad to serve as his running mate.

As a native Fulani speaker, "Ganduje as Vice President will undoubtedly mediate Fulani herdsmen, kidnappers, banditry, and other types of criminality plaguing the country," he stated.

Shehu Isa, the Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Media, stated in response to the Muslim-Muslim ticket challenge that "it is not constitutional and Kaduna had experimented with it and since then, the state has been peaceful and free of the ethnic violence for which it is infamous."
