Boat accident in Niger state results in one fatality

A boat accident that happened on Saturday, July 23, near Zumba in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State has so far been verified to have killed at least one person.

According to reports, the passengers were headed to the well-known Saturday market at the time of the collision.

According to reports, the wooden boat, which was carrying largely women, children, and cargo, was overloaded.

Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Inga, Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), verified the occurrence and stated one victim was saved alive while a body was pulled from the river.
