After the victim complained at the Ode Remo divisional headquarters that her father, whom she has been living with for a while, has been having carnal knowledge of her, the suspect, a resident of Idi Oro Street, Ode Remo, was detained.
She continued by saying that her father has been luring men to the house for sex with her in exchange for payment from the men.
Following the report, CSP Olayemi Fasogbon, DPO Ode Remo division, sent his investigators to the spot, where they quickly detained the offender.
The culprit initially rejected the accusations during questioning, but subsequently confessed when the victim confronted him. Five additional people who had slept with the victim on the father's invitation at various periods were detained as a result of his confession.
Ahmed Ogunkoya, 30, Muyiwa Adeoye, 48, David Sunday Solaja, 69, Emmanuel Olusanya, 50, and Joshua Olaniran, 50, are the other suspects.
The state police command's spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the event and stated all the suspects had admitted to having had sexual contact with the 14-year-old girl and giving money to her father. He claimed the girl, whose mother and father had split some years earlier, claimed her father had essentially converted her into a prostitute.
She was brought to the state hospital in Isara Remo, where the pregnancy was confirmed.
The victim has maintained that her father, who was the only person to have slept with her at the time she became pregnant, is to blame for the pregnancy.
In the meantime, CP Lanre Bankole, the police commissioner, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the state's Criminal Investigation Department's anti-human trafficking and child labour unit for covert investigation and potential prosecution.
