As a car rams into a truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, three people are killed and four more are injured.
According to reports, a Toyota Matrix collided with a truck on Sunday, causing three people to perish and four others to suffer injuries of varied severity.


According to information obtained by our correspondent, the incident happened at 5:50 p.m. near the highway's Oniworo area.


Further information revealed that the Toyota Matrix with the registration code WWD621AE had a tyre blowout and collided with the Howo Sino truck.


In a brief statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, Florence Okpe, the spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) in Ogun State, acknowledged the event.


According to Okpe, there were nine people in the accident; three of them perished and four others were hurt.


She said that the dead were placed in the FOS Morgue in Isara, while the injured were brought to Victory Hospital in Ogere for medical assistance.


She cited Sector Commander Ahmed Umar as expressing sympathy to the victims' families and advising drivers to constantly perform routine vehicle inspections to make sure their vehicles are in good condition.
