Inside a hostel, two Kwara students were discovered dead and naked.


Two Kwara State University, Malete students who were thought to be in a relationship were discovered dead in their residence.

The bodies of the two lovers, identified as Tobiloba Daniel and Arewa Abayomi, were found on Saturday by other students in a private hostel in the sleepy community. When their bodies were discovered, they were found to be naked and stone dead, according to information obtained by INFOGONG late on Monday.

According to reports, the fatalities were university students in the 200 Level who were taking exams at the time of the event.

Under the condition of anonymity, one of the students said, "We assume they are lovers and we grew concerned when they were not seen throughout the ongoing exam in the university and also in their class for three days.

"Some of their pals discovered them dead and naked when they arrived at their hostel outside the school. But poisoning is thought to be the cause," he continued.

There hasn't yet been an official message on the subject, according to Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, director of university relations.

The campus security has not yet released any formal information on the tragic incident, according to Aliyu, who confirmed the incident.

"As of this morning on Tuesday, we don't have any formal information about the incident. Even though we don't know their names, I was made aware of the occurrence. Although the security has not provided any victims' information, I think they are still working on it, she said.

Ajayi Okasanmi (SP), the Kwara State Police Command's public relations officer, verified the occurrence to our correspondent.

The two of them were discovered dead in their chamber, and the police were notified, he continued.

They were brought to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for an autopsy after our men forced through the door. The matter is still being investigated, he noted.
