Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, has urged businesses to install sophisticated Closed Circuit Television cameras around their locations to monitor the surrounding area and banking facilities.

The governor made this statement on Monday at the Government House in Lokoja while he was hosting the Kogi State bankers committee.

He spoke to the Bankers' Forum about the nation's growing insecurity and the need for cooperation and synergy to combat the threat, noting that the government would continue to be watchful even though Kogi State has experienced peace.

According to Bello, the level of insecurity in the nation has recently increased; as a result, authorities must stay one step ahead of criminals and eliminate the threat.

Additionally, he insisted that the CCTV be manned during business hours.

The forum's spokesperson, Mr. Asanato Sunday, an Assistant Director at the Central Bank, praised the governor for his efforts in the battle against insecurity in the state and said that the state's commercial institutions will try to support that effort.
