Members of the infamous One Chance gang are detained by police

Police officers assigned to the Surulere Division have detained two members of a one-chance gang well known for operating along Lagos State's Funsho Williams Avenue.

Usman Hussani, 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, 25, were detained after receiving a distress call from a victim immediately after he had his phone and other belongings taken away, according to Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos police.

The declaration said;

Usman Hussani, 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, 25, the accused, were detained after receiving a victim's distress call shortly after robbing him of his phone and other belongings.

Two mobile phones, two SIM cards, a Sterling Bank ATM card, a UBA chequebook belonging to Ugochukwu (other names withheld), and a brand-new tricycle with the gang's registration number LSD 360 QN were all found on the suspects.

Upon completion of the investigation, the suspects will be arraigned.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, urges residents to always be watchful and alert, particularly when taking public transportation.
