The Performing Musicians Employers' Association of Nigeria has announced that its upcoming first National Executive Council Convention will be the occasion for the introduction of its biometric identity card.

Pretty Okafor, president of PMAN, mentioned that Zenith Bank helped to build the card.

"PMAN is delighted to announce that its new and improved biometrics ID cards will be issued to the first batch of registered members across the country," Okafor stated during a weekday event.

"The event promises to set the ball rolling for larger things to come for the progress and betterment of the entertainment industry in Nigeria and beyond," Okafor said in a statement urging invited attendees to heed the offer.

"The progress in PMAN is borne out of the synergy and unity in the association, made possible through a series of court judgments that have authenticated and reaffirmed Pretty Okafor as the national leader and has prohibited any act of factionalization within the musicians' union," PMAN's second Vice President Zaaki Azay added.

Attendees from all over the nation are anticipated at the NEC conference, where discussions will centre on the campaign to register biometric cards.
