A final-year student at Yabatech was shot and killed on campus.

A senior at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Akoka, Lagos mainland, was reportedly shot to death yesterday at approximately 8 p.m.

Bello Akerodele Adisa, identified as an HND II Art and Design student with the MATRICULATION number F/HD/21/3320024 from the faculty of Art, was reportedly shot in the head in front of the Art Complex.

Joe Ejafor, the institution's public relations officer, confirmed to Vanguard that he received the news at the N50 billion Naira endowment launch event at Eko Hotel and Suit. According to him, "I cannot determine what actually transpired because the entire management was there at yesterday's event, but the Police Authority is investigating the incident"

Benjamin Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police and the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the tragedy.

"I just had a conversation with the Divisional Police Officer" (DPO). It is verified.
