The newborns are the first offspring of Venerable Hezekiah Akenroye, a 71-year-old retired Anglican priest, and his wife, Mrs. Durodoluwa Akenroye, a 45-year-old woman, who wed him in April 2016.
The babies, who were born by caesarean section on September 21, 2022, weighed 2.3 kg, 2.0 kg, and 1.8 kg, respectively.
Erelu Fayemi congratulated the parents and, after learning of the triplets' arrival from a story that went viral on social media, gave the infants money and other gifts. He also urged the parents to raise the children in the Lord's ways.
The first lady, who detoured to the hospital on her way to a social event today, expressed her joy at the babies' arrival, saying it is proof that God hears and answers prayers.She offered her congratulations to the couple and took the opportunity to encourage other troubled couples to maintain their faith in God.
After waiting for the triplets for many years, the elderly father of the children, Venerable Akenroye, expressed gratitude to the first lady for her thoughtful gift.He claimed he had never thought that God could still make him a father in this life.
