According to a press release given to reporters on Friday, Bashar Abubakar, Senator Aliyu Wamakko's Special Assistant for New Media, stated as much.
The declaration came in response to the widespread desertion that has plagued the state's ruling PDP.
Over 4,270 PDP supporters from the Wurno Local Government Area were among the defectors who were welcomed by Ahmad Aliyu, the APC candidate for governor in the state.
There is light at the end of the tunnel, the gubernatorial candidate said, referring to the overwhelming number of PDP voters that switched to the APC.
The APC leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, was represented by Aliyu, who promised the defectors similar treatment.
He promised that his administration would build on the enormous achievements of Wamakko, the previous governor of Sokoto State.
If elected governor in 2023, he promised to repair the Huchi Road, which was destroyed by flooding.
"(The) PDP in the state has failed horribly as none of the promises made to the people of the state were delivered," Aliyu said of the ruling party in the state.
Isah Achida, the state's APC chairman, welcomed the defectors in his remarks and declared that the party was always prepared to carry on in order to guarantee its success at all levels.
The home town of the state APC chairman, Achida, around 1,400 PDP supporters switched over to the APC in Achida town, part of the Wurno local government area.
Alhaji Musa Marnona, the chairman of the Wurno local government APC, said that the party would continue to put in a lot of effort to be successful in the region.
While 1,000 PDP sympathisers were welcomed into the APC in Kware's Gidan Rugga Ward.
The PDP lacked focus and direction to run the state, according to several defectors who discussed their reasons for joining the APC instead of the PDP.
They praised Wamakko's leadership of the APC in the state for being dependable and accommodating.
They also pledged to keep helping the party so that all of its candidates would succeed.
Other APC heavyweights who attended the ceremony were former ambassador Abubakar Wurno, deputy governorship candidate Idris Gobir, and APC Sokoto East senatorial candidate Alhaji Ibrahim Isa, among other dignitaries.
