Russian protests Putin's proposal by setting himself on fire
In an effort to avoid being drafted into the conflict with Ukraine, a Russian man set himself on fire.

On September 26, the man set himself ablaze at the Ryazan bus station in the city of Ryazan in the southeast.

This occurs less than a week after President Vladimir Putin declared that up to 300,000 reserve personnel would be "partially mobilized."

A man lit himself on fire at the Ryazan bus terminal, according the Russian news outlet YA62.

"He yelled that he didn't want to take part in a special operation in Ukraine," the report reads.

The man can be seen being transported to an ambulance by police when the flames died down.

One witness informed YA62 that he only had minor wounds, however Novaya Gazeta said that he had burns covering more than 90% of his body.
