A car crash in Bauchi, Nigeria, has claimed 11 lives.
Saturday's car crash in Hawan Jaki, a community on the Alkaleri-Gombe Road in the Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, resulted in the deaths of eleven people.


Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi State, told INFOGONG on Sunday that the accident left 8 other people seriously injured.


He stated that one Yankari Express commercial vehicle and one Dangote articulated vehicle were involved in the collision.


Abdullahi said that reckless driving was to blame for the collision.


The deadly car crash involved twenty adult males. In total, eleven people perished; nine of them did so instantly, while two more were confirmed dead at the Alkaleri General Hospital.


Eight people were injured, and he claimed they are all being treated at the same hospital where the bodies of the dead were brought.


Abdullahi emphasized the need of following all driving laws and regulations at all times.
