A father of seven will be executed by hanging in Adamawa for the ritualistic killing of his lover.

Abubakar Mohammed, a father of seven, has been convicted of murdering his partner for financial reasons.

After hearing from his friend Buhari Mohammed that he could make N10 million from someone hunting for human eyeballs, the criminal murdered Christiana Augustin and removed her eyes and other body parts.

Abubakar visited Christiana's home in an effort to get her to join him at the unfinished structure where they regularly assemble. He took out a knife, cut her throat, and removed her eyes.

When Christiana's body was discovered in the half-finished structure the following day, he was taken into custody.

Abubakar was found guilty of culpable homicide by Justice Bulila Ikaro of the Adamawa State High Court in Yola, and he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for possessing and offering for sale the human body parts.
