Yobe Government Orders the Expulsion of Two Communities
Usur and Gasma settlements in the local government areas of Bade and Karasuwa that are at risk of flooding have been advised to leave immediately by the Yobe State Government.

Alhaji Idi Gubana, the state's deputy governor, delivered the order on Sunday in Gashua while touring communities impacted by the region's severe floods.

In order to relocate people of Usur and Gasma to the recently built housing estate in Jaji Maji, he gave the state Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) instructions.

The visit, according to the deputy governor, was made to show sympathy for the disaster's victims and gauge the extent of the damage so that essential assistance could be provided.

Gubana also instructed SEMA to offer the victims comfort items to lessen their misery.
