Osun monarch's wife is taken to court by her ex-husband over paternity right
Olori Kafayat Adedoyin Oyetunji, one of the wives of Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, the Ataoja of Osogbo land, has been brought before an Osun State Customary Court located in Erin-Osun for allegedly changing the last name of a kid she had for her ex-husband.

Adekunle Lawal-Oloki, the petitioner and child's previous husband, requested that the defendant be barred from changing the girl's name and that he be given custody of the child.

He continued by saying that he had more than enough resources to provide for his daughter to the highest standards.

Lawal-Oloki disclosed that Olori Oyetunji and him held an introduction ceremony on December 22, 2022, which ultimately resulted in the birth of a child for both of them.

"Kafayat Adedoyin gave birth to a girl kid for me, and I instantly accepted responsibility over the child straight from the pregnant stage," the petition claims. The child's name was Nadirah Adeola Lawal-Oloki.

A few months after the baby was born, the defendant got married again, and after the defendant's sister was given custody of the kid, all attempts to get contact to my daughter were unsuccessful.

"Despite several calls and pleas from me, the defendant has refused to grant me access to my child since April 2015, when the youngster was around two (2) years old. Right now, my kid is ten (10) years old.

"I had contacted the defendant, the defendant's husband (the king), and numerous third parties in an effort to gain access to my child, but to no effect."

He claimed that the girl's name had been changed from Nadirah Adeola Lawal-Oloki to Nadirah Adeola Oyetunji by the defendant, Olori Oyetunji.

K.B. Adeyinka, the court's president, has scheduled a hearing for December 14, 2022.
