Police: Tinubu's convoy was not attacked in Osun.
The All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu's convoy was allegedly attacked in the state, according to a video that has gone viral online. However, the Osun State Police Command has dismissed the claim.

The attack on the convoy of Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola at the EndSars rally in Osogbo on October 17, 2020, was when the video was actually shot, according to a statement by the Command's spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, on Sunday.

The command then urged the populace to dismiss the video and continue with their regular activities without feeling unsafe.

"The attention of Osun State Police Command has been brought to the story making the rounds and video spreading on social media that; Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu's convoy was attacked by Osun Youths on the 8th of October 2022," the statement said in sections.

"The Osun State Police Command wishes to remind the general public that the news/trending video on social media was the attack on the convoy of the Osun State Governor, His Excellency Oyetola Adegboyega, about 2 years ago, on October 17, 2020, and not October 8, 2022, as was maliciously distributed.

"To clear the air, I want to let you know that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not visited Osun State recently for any program at all. As a result, the Commissioner of Police urges the decent citizens of the State to dismiss the information and carry on with their daily lives without worrying about their safety.
