Sacked employees want N5m and threaten to abduct the ex-boss.
Ifenuga Olayinka allegedly fired three men in the Ijebu-Ode region of Ogun State, and the guys were accused of trying to kidnap him.

Following Olayinka's accusation, the three suspects—Peter Nse, 24, Chuckwuma Nwobodo, 48, and Michael Umanah, 30—were detained.

This information was released in a statement on Tuesday by SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the public relations officer for the Ogun State Police.

He clarified that Olayinka had claimed to have received a text message from a person who identified himself as the "Killer Vagabond of Africa" on his phone.

The originator of the message instructed the complainant to deposit N5 million into a bank account he supplied to him or risk being kidnapped as soon as possible, the police spokesman added.

"In response to the information, the DPO for the Igbeba division, CSP Musiliu Doga, assigned his detectives to identify those responsible for the wicked message.

After that, the detectives launched a technical and intelligence-based investigation that took them to Anambra State, where they apprehended two of the accused, Peter Nse and Chuckwuma Nwobodo.

"Their capture brought the detectives to Ago-Iwoye, where Michael Umanah, the third suspect, was captured.

"The complainant identified them as his former workers who he had recently fired for specific wrongdoing when they were brought before him.

"Upon questioning, they all admitted to the crime and said that they made the attempt just out of resentment at the complainant terminating their appointment."
