Gunmen storm homes in Zamfara and kidnap the district chief.

The district head of Kwangami village, Muhammad Galadima, and six others have been kidnapped by terrorists in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Dahiru Amadu, a local resident, told INFOGONG that the victims were kidnapped on Monday by a group of heavily armed terrorists.

Amadu stated that the attack caused widespread panic in the village and that several people were injured.

He claimed that seven people, including the district chief, were abducted from their homes and brought to the bandits' base.

Presently, we are living in constant fear of being kidnapped by bandits who demand ransom in exchange for their release.

They recently kidnapped ten of our people from their farmland, and we haven't been able to pay the ransom.

SP Mohammed Shehu, the state police department's public relations officer, did not respond to requests for comment.

Meanwhile, the bandits who kidnapped six people from Kazauda village, Gusau LGA a few days ago have returned them after receiving N4m in ransom.
