Osun State Government Saves a Young Girl, Aged Five, Who Was Left Abandoned Alongside a River

A young girl of five years old was discovered abandoned by the Oba River in Iwo. The Osun State Government was able to save her.

In a statement that was released on Monday, November 14, 2022, the Coordinating Director of the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Affairs, Jide Falade, said that the abandonment was brought to the attention of the ministry by a good samaritan.

According to him, the efforts made by the police and officials of the Ministry to locate the girl's parents did not result in any positive outcomes.

"On September 29, 2022, a good samaritan informed the Ministry about the case that had been occurring in the community. Nothing had worked despite everyone's best efforts to track down the minor's family members "he continued.

As a result, Falade made an appeal to members of the general public, pleading with them to assist in the search for the child's parents or any of the child's relatives.
