The Adamawa Police Department has started a shooting exercise and has asked the public not to panic.

Residents have been asked by the Adamawa State Police Command to remain calm as they begin their shooting exercise on Tuesday at the base of the Counter Terrorism Unit, which is located in the Girei Local Government Area of the state. The exercise will take place near the Nas Radio station.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the police command's spokeswoman, disclosed this information to members of the media and added that the training will take place over the course of three days.

SP Nguroje pleaded with members of the general public to remain calm in the face of the sound of gunshots. In addition, he encouraged the local farmers to stay away from the target area while it was being used for the drill.
